2010 is a major milestone in the history of J W Crowther & Son Ltd. and it was the pleasure of David Bates of Creative World to work with the management team to create not only the commemorative icon, but a whole new website as well.

Founded in 1860 by James William Crowther, this family run company has certainly come a long way over the past 150 years, and is still a growing and well managed business, offering its services to the whole of the UK.

The sourcing of historic images for the site proved to be a real trip down memory lane for the Crowther family and the team here at Creative World look forward to working with JW Crowther & Son Ltd at their next major milestone event.

Moscow mission adds up for CW

Announcements

An Altham-based creative agency has completed a major website design project for a Russian business park.

CW Advertising, together with its new media
sister company; ITFX, took on the design project for Moscow’s extensive Millennium Logistics Park (MLP).

The contract came about after Millennium Logistics Park owner Adi Gast became aware of the company’s work.

CW and ITFX managing director Clive Wood  said: “I met Adi in London after being recommended to him. He had already seen quite a few potential agencies in both London and Moscow but opted to go with CW and ITFX after speaking with me and looking in detail at our work.

“He was keen to link up with a creative company capable of designing a website with an international feel without incurring the high costs of some of the larger agencies.”

“We’ve certainly enjoyed the challenges posed  by the project, relying on telephone conversations and email to develop the design and build the draft website. We also advised the Moscow-based photographer on the photography required”

The draft website was initially completed in English and only when MLP managers were happy with the content was it translated into Russian. CW and ITFX worked with Oldham-based Applied Language on the translation which was checked by MLP managers before being formally accepted.

The website took three months to complete and includes an online enquiry form for any business interested in locating to the MLP, which is a large mixed use industrial estate offering extensive distribution and manufacturing as well as office accommodation.

This isn’t the first time CW has worked for a Russian company having previously produced an investment brochure for Kaliningrad Plaza, a major retail shopping centre in this Baltic coastal city in the Russian Federation.

Marketing… Nobody Does It Better!

Announcements

This, the third in the CW & ITFX  series, continues our themed approach of linking to national events as a means of maintaining CW & ITFX’s  position in the creative marketing arena. This time we gave our guys  the opportunity to be ‘Bond’ for a day – bringing a wry smile to all concerned.

Timed to coincide with the national release of ‘Quatum of Solace, the responses we have received have been fantastic. This ‘tongue in cheek’ approach demonstrates our ability to focus our marketing expertise and knowledge while really enjoying what we do. A quality that is certainly reflected in every finished project that out clients receive.

All marketing needs to be up-to-date, interesting and topical  - but most of all enjoyable! As you can see from the artwork, Simon and Paul were certainly enjoying the day!

Happy 50th CW Advertising Managing Director, Clive Wood

Announcements

Well who’d have thought it – Clive Wood hits a magical Half Century!

Clive Wood celebrates his 50th Birthday today.

Friends and colleagues from CW & ITFX were all in attendance to present Clive with his favourite chocolate cake, an especially designed birthday card, wine and a very special  golf ball – so all of Clive’s golfing buddies had better beware.

This was officially the only time that Clive has ever been lost for words!

Here’s to you Clive – we hope we’ve helped to make “an old man feel very happy” – or should that be, “a happy man feel very old?”

Happy 50th!

Running out of creative ideas for your business…?

Announcements

The second of our series of themed and topical marketing advertisements certainly saw an unusual selection from the CW dressing-up box.

From waiter to tennis pro, oversized chicken to Scooby Doo - the nudist obviously arrived late for the shoot and didn’t have much choice but to go “Au Naturelle”.

Timed to coincide with the London Marathon, again the emphasis was on having fun while going the ‘extra mile’ for our clients - never being beaten and giving our all until the finish line is crossed.

CW Advertising to showcase their marketing expertise in series of exciting and imaginative ads

Advertisements Announcements

First ad in series has a compelling budget theme and is set to be launched in time for Chancellor Alistair Darling’s first budget on Wednesday 12th March In a brand new ad campaign launching this week, North West based CW Advertising has used its considerable creative flare to showcase its marketing communications expertise.

The campaign kicks off with a budget themed ad designed to appeal to shrewd entrepreneurs keen to make cost-effective use of available resources and, at the same time, add value to their businesses and build their brands in a way that has real impact on the bottom line. Explaining the decision to use their expertise to promote their own services, CW Director, Paul Bury says,

“We opted for a themed ad campaign linked to topical events to demonstrate our marketing expertise. The first ad in the series is being released to coincide with this year’s eagerly awaited budget announcement on 12th March. We thought this would be a great way of getting the message across that we are happy to work with economically minded but far-sighted businesses to develop integrated marketing strategies that have a real impact.”

With 25 years experience of providing tailored services to a wide range of clients, CW is the marketing communications company of choice for those with a reputation for prudent but effective business acumen.

For example, CW has recently worked with the long-established and well respected Greater Manchester shirt company Rael Brook to develop a brand new e-commerce website.

BASF – CC Ltd, the world’s largest chemical company, relied on the creative team at CW for several fast turn around marketing projects including a looped DVD Video presentation.

Their experience in these markets continues to go from strength to strength with numerous campaigns running both nationally and worldwide.

HRH The Earl of Wessex Unveils Digital Plaque at Saturn House

Announcements

Earlier today, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex opened Saturn House, the brand new headquarters of CW Advertising and ITFX Limited. His Royal Highness unveiled a unique and highly unusual ‘digital plaque’ within the entrance to the new building, which is situated on Mercury Rise at Altham Business Park.

Saturn House provides a stunning setting for the ongoing development of CW Advertising and ITFX Limited, the area’s leading advertising, marketing, PR and multi-media businesses. Both companies are housed within the superb new premises on Mercury Rise, which is one of the premier office development sites in the East Lancashire area.

CW Advertising has been operating across the region for over 25 years and it is because of the company’s ongoing expansion, coupled with the development of sister company ITFX Limited that a move to new 9,000 sq ft. office premises was a necessity. Add to this a major investment in the latest networking and IT solutions and it is easy to see why Saturn House points the way forward for both firms.

The state of the art technology and facilities that the new building offers will enable more integrated and even more successful campaigns. In fact, it is less than three months since the move to new premises and everyone has settled into their task of providing effective, fully integrated marketing and new media solutions from the new purpose built headquarters.

Clive Wood, Managing Director of CW Advertising and ITFX Limited said of the occasion:

“We were delighted to welcome HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex to Saturn House. This move to new premises represents a major step in the development of two of the region’s most respected advertising, marketing and new media businesses and it was an honour that His Royal Highness came to open the building.”

The visit to Lancashire comes less than two months after the Queen toured the Ribble Valley as part of her 80th birthday celebrations. And in his role of trustee, HRH Prince Edward also attended a Garden Party at Stonyhurst College to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Year of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The construction of Mercury Rise has revitalised the entrance to Altham Business Park. The development has been designed with conservation in mind, with a number of attractive features being incorporated into the ongoing development plans to give the site a more rural feel. To encourage outdoor recreation, a picnic area is to be added as part of the extensive landscape work.

CW Advertising Makes Two Senior Appointments

Announcements

The CW Advertising creative marketing team has expanded yet again in response to a number of high profile account wins, since the company moved to brand new headquarters at Mercury Rise, Altham Business Park.

CW Advertising Limited and sister company ITFX, had already been established for a number of years as the top design, new media and creative marketing agencies in the region when the move to purpose built office premises was announced in April last year. And, following the move, the account wins have continued to come in – leading to the two senior management team appointments earlier this month.

David Bates joins the team as Sales & Marketing Manager and his brief is to manage key accounts and develop the existing CW Advertising client base by advising on and implementing totally integrated marketing solutions. David also operates in a sales capacity for CW Advertising’s award winning, new media sister company ITFX Limited.
‘Born and bred’ in the Rossendale Valley, David commented that he is:

“Happy to be back on this side of the hills again, especially as he now has an opportunity to develop his career with one of the region’s most respected and most established design and marketing agencies.”

Further expanding the specialist commercial property team, James takes over the management of a number of key accounts, whilst also looking to further develop the company’s business links within the City of London. And, James couldn’t have a better mentor, as his father has already handled some of the biggest commercial property and investment projects to come out of the City over the past 25 years.

Clive Wood, Managing Director explained that the new appointments were part of the company’s plans for growth. He commented that:

“Our continued success and rapidly expanding client base means that, in order to stay at the top, we have to bring the right people into our management infrastructure.

Our business has been built on results and a commitment to providing the very best levels of service across all disciplines. The only way we can maintain this is to offer a balance of expertise and creativity and, whether we look to outside expertise or develop our own people within the company, our recruitment policy must reflect this.

I believe that the appointment of David Bates, who has an in-depth understanding of the industry and the promotion of my Son, James to Key Account Executive, reflects our ambition to further develop the business and offer clients the most innovative solutions with the very best support.”

CW Advertising has recently completed high profile projects for James Dewhurst, Pertex and Jones Lang LaSalle.
